Attorney At Law

transactionAL Real Estate ServiceS

Real estate brokers and salespersons are explicitly prohibited from engaging in the practice of law, unless they are also licensed as an attorney. This means that they can only provide you with standard form contracts without the ability to change the substance within those documents. Because Jennifer is an attorney, she is capable of providing you with legal advice and modifying the specific terms of those standard form contracts or completely drafting new contracts and addenda should it be necessary or required.

Originally from Monroe, Louisiana, Jennifer is a New York and Texas licensed lawyer with 17 years of experience in civil/construction litigation & commercial transactions. While she was solely dedicated to the practice of law, she was consecutively designated a Texas Rising Star from 2009-2014; a designation given to only 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Texas. She also received an AV Preeminent® designation; a testament to the fact that her peers rank her at the highest level of professional excellence.

She graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Law (Paul M. Herbert) and studied abroad at Faculte' de Droit et de Science Politique, Universite' Paul Ce'zanne d’Aix-Marseille in France. She has a Bachelors degree in Finance also from Louisiana State University.

While Jennifer is practicing real estate nearly 100 percent of the time these days, she still represents general contractors, homeowners' associations and individuals in transactionally related matters and continues her education by studying legal developments in the construction and real estate industries. She is a Certified Condominium Specialist ® CCS ™ and a Certified Planned Development Specialist ® CPDS ™as well as a Five-Star Real Estate Agent; a designation awarded to a select group of Dallas/Fort Worth-area professionals who provide exceptional service to their clients and that represent fewer than 7 percent of all professionals in the market.
